Peer review
DOUBLE-BLIND PEER REVIEW
Editorial Unión Científica implements a double-blind peer review system, where reviewers are not affiliated with Editorial Unión Científica nor part of the editorial team. This ensures the quality, impartiality, and scientific rigor of all our publications. This method guarantees that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous during the evaluation process, minimizing potential biases and promoting objective analysis of the content.
STAGES OF THE EDITORIAL PROCESS
- Reception of the manuscript: The manuscript is received and preliminarily evaluated by the editorial team to verify compliance with the editorial guidelines and alignment with the publication's themes and objectives.
- Assignment of reviewers: Once the initial evaluation is passed, the manuscript is sent to expert reviewers in the relevant thematic area. These reviewers are selected for their expertise and knowledge of the subject matter, ensuring qualified assessments.
- Anonymous evaluation: The reviewers analyze the manuscript considering criteria such as originality, relevance, methodology, coherence, results, and contributions to the field of study. During this process, the names of both authors and reviewers remain concealed to ensure neutral evaluations.
- Review report: Reviewers issue a detailed report that includes comments, observations, and recommendations:
- Acceptance: If the manuscript meets all required standards.
- Minor or major revisions: If corrections or significant improvements are needed by the authors.
- Rejection: If the manuscript does not meet the established academic or quality standards.
- Editorial decision: The editorial committee, based on the reviewers reports, makes the final decision regarding the publication of the manuscript. If corrections are requested, authors must submit the revised version for re-evaluation.
- Follow-up and communication: Throughout the process, authors are promptly informed about the status of their manuscript.
