A serial collection in agro-environmental science

Glebe is a serial collection dedicated to exploring the intersection of soil, water, agricultural production, agribusiness, and veterinary medicine. This series addresses five fundamental domains: Agronomy, Agribusiness, Veterinary Medicine, Soil Science, and Water Resources. The collection analyzes the critical role of edaphic (soil-related) conditions in determining crop health, water dynamics, industrial processing, and animal welfare. Through interdisciplinary approaches ranging from soil chemistry and physics to livestock epidemiology and food engineering, Glebe promotes holistic sustainability in primary production, post-harvest innovation, environmental management, and animal welfare. By linking fundamental science with real-world impact, Glebe serves scholars, practitioners, and policymakers seeking to improve ecosystem resilience and agricultural productivity in the face of global challenges.

Publication structure and frequency

Glebe is published quarterly, with three issues per year. The series maintains a flexible structure that allows each issue to consist of:

  • Several chapters on different topics, or

  • Complete monographs dedicated to a single relevant topic.

Types of accepted contributions

Glebe accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original research: These present unpublished results of scientific research, whether experimental, field, or laboratory, structured according to the IMRyD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).

  • Review research: These offer a critical and comprehensive analysis of the state of the art on a specific topic, integrating and evaluating previous research to identify trends, knowledge gaps, and areas for improvement..

Both types of manuscripts must comply with the ethical and methodological standards established by the committee of Editorial Unión Científica.

Purpose and audience

Glebe seeks to provide a platform for the dissemination of research results that integrate diverse scientific disciplines. It promotes a holistic approach to agro-environmental sustainability and is aimed at researchers, agricultural professionals, public policymakers, and students interested in agro-environmental sciences.

Call for Contributions
We invite submissions of articles, reviews, and essays within the proposed thematic areas. The next special issue will focus on "Sustainable agribusiness and integrated water resources management".
